The Litening AIR C:68X SLT takes the UCI rulebook on weight and frame design and translates it into an ultra-light, aero-sleek carbon race machine whose very essence is speed. From the carbon-spoked, carbon-rimmed Newmen Streem Climbing 35/38 Vonoa wheels – shod with 28mm Conti GP5000 S-TR tyres – to the carefully honed frame tube profiles, every detail is focussed on shaving seconds. The new aero carbon cockpit improves your performance even further, by up to 8 watts. And Shimano's range-topping Dura-Ace Di2 components – including a crankset with built-in power meter – transfer your power to the road and bring you safely to a stop. Frame and equipment
As we're fond of saying here at CUBE, it's all about the detail. The Litening® AIR is already an exceptionally light, exceptionally rapid frame. We worked with the pro riders on Team Intermarché-Wanty to make it so: around 799g for a mid-sized frame, and capable of being built into a 6.6kg race-ready bike that's fully UCI-compliant. But for the SLT version we wanted to go one better, so we developed a new one-piece carbon cockpit that's even more aero than before, saving up to 8 watts. It also provides a convenient mount for your bike compute, so you can keep track of just how much faster you're able to ride...
Who is the Litening AIR C:68X SLT suitable for?
For the racing bike professional. No other bike offers as much scope for improvements in detail as the racing bike. Carbon components are used to improve stiffness and weight by a few percentage points. Even more compact frames, even more sporty seating positions and perfectly tuned equipment should bring out the best. Incidentally, your bike is delivered completely pre-assembled. All you have to do is put on the front wheel, adjust the handlebars and fit the pedals. It's very simple.
