Aluminium for even more stability
The new aluminium frame, made entirely of double butted 6061 tubes, forms the basis for the Cross Race series. The focus in development at Cube was on stiffness and optimum handling. These requirements are easily achieved with the help of 12mm thru axles and carbon fork. Even the entry-level model meets the highest demands that can arise from a cyclocross race or daily use. The high-quality Shimano 105er group provides a lot of propulsion, while the disc brake reliably decelerates the bike at all times. Thanks to the grippy Schwalbe X-One tyres with Kevlar coating, things can get rougher at times! The Pro version also features even more 105-level parts and a Shimano hydraulic disc brake. The SL equipment is available for professionals and everyone who still wants to become one. The extremely reliable Sram Rival1 fits perfectly to the requirements of a modern cyclocross bike. This package is complemented by the Sram Rival1 disc brake, which can grip powerfully. With the light and stable Fulcrum Racing 77 CX Disc wheelset, Cube can reduce the total weight of this bike to approx. 9.6 kilograms. All equipment variants unite the attractive appearance. Thanks to the internal cables and the ingenious frame design, bikes of this series look aggressive and chic, while giving the rider maximum comfort and absolute control. These bikes combine the best of different worlds into a harmonious overall concept.
Lighter and stiffer, the C:62 carbon cross race
In addition to weight savings, carbon is also a sensible material whenever comfort and handling play a role. This profile fits perfectly to the requirements of an ultra-modern cyclocross frame. Cube has chosen the proven C:62 carbon for the development. This carbon allows the engineers to align the fibers so that weight and stability always remain optimal. The consistent focus on speed and handling is already evident in the entry-level model. The manufacturer equips the Cube Cross Race C:62 Pro with the Shimano Ultegra rear derailleur. The hydraulic disc brake, also from the Ultegra family, stops the bike at any time and in all conditions. The demanding Ultegra crankset guarantees maximum speed in all situations. With the light and stable Mavic Aksium Allroad wheels and the Schwalbe X-One folding tires, sufficient driving stability and reliability is ensured. For the SL version, Cube reaches deep into the box with premium components. The Newmen Advanced Carbon cockpit and the Newmen Evolution SL R.32 wheelset are combined with the Sram Force1 transmission and the Easton EC90 SL carbon crank. This setup, optimized for speed and cyclocross-compatible without front derailleurs, can be controlled at any time thanks to the hydraulic Sram Force brake system. The incredible weight of only about 8 kilograms speaks for itself. If this racing machine is not daring enough for you, you can bet on the Cube Cross Race C:62 SLT. Shifting is done here within milliseconds and without loss of power with the electric Shimano Di:2 circuit. The Newmen Carbon cockpit and the Newmen wheelset made of carbon, push the weight to an incredible 7.6 kilograms. The poisonous Shimano Ultegra disc brake and the Kevlar-coated Schwalbe X-One Allround tyres ensure sufficient safety and control. Optically all C:62 models captivate by a flawless processing of the chic frame sets and the sporty-aggressive look. The Cube Cross Race C:62 is the warranty for high speed and continuous grin.
