Newest technology
The manufacturers use extremely stable but at the same time very light aluminium frames for their crossbikes. The design is based on the sporty models of the road bikes, but is much more stable. The installed components mainly come from the mountainbike sector and are therefore extremely durable and robust. In contrast to the related touring bikes, cross bicycles do not use attachments such as stands or mudguards. However, these parts can easily be retrofitted at any time. The 28 inch wheels are very smooth running and noticeably thinner than a mountainbike. Nevertheless, the tyres offer enough traction and comfort for off-road driving.
Wide selection for all needs
The selection of models is varied and everyone will find the right bike. For beginners and occasional riders alike, models are equipped with a classic rim brake, always at a reasonable price and still decently equipped. For the ambitious touring pro and forest trail racer, models with hydraulic disc brakes, XTR gearshift and extremely light carbon parts are also available. The manufacturers' focus is always on the quality and safety of the installed parts. Also a somewhat harder gait, or wetness and dirt, have no influence on the functionality of these bikes.
Notice, or go for a ride?
Optically, the selection options are just as large as they are technically. The slim aluminum frames underline the sporty alignment of these bikes and look much more dynamic than most touring bikes. The clean look can be combined with muted and serious, or eye-catching and bright colours. There is also a choice of fully-equipped models for use on the road, equipped with luggage racks, stands, lighting and mudguards. All accessories can be retrofitted inexpensively and in just a few moments, a Crossbike becomes a roadworthy bicycle for urban traffic.
Out into nature
When the next exit is coming up, you can plan your trip with a Crossbike. This independence from weather and underground conditions makes a Crossrad a variable and spontaneous companion. Whether uphill or downhill, road or forest track - your Crossbike is ready for you.
