Whether you're starting out, accelerating, braking, rolling along on the flat, or climbing a steep grade: Just leave the choice of support mode to the drive system and concentrate on shifting and braking.

The best thing about E-MTBs is their powerful handling. But without the necessary control you would complete unwanted wheelies uphill or be slowed down on loose soil by a spinning rear wheel.
