A shower of medals at the national cyclocross championships
Last weekend, the national title fights in cyclocross were held simultaneously in several countries. The riders of the Tormans Cyclo Cross Team and Team Schamel p/b Kloster Kitchen, riding the CUBE Cross Race C:62 and C:68X, crowned themselves with several championship titles and medals.
For the Tormans Cyclo Cross Team, this weekend of national championships will be long remembered. One day after the U23 title of Marie Schreiber from Luxembourg, all six riders involved in the race for the national title this Sunday managed to win a medal. Thomas Mein (Great Britain) and Kevin Kuhn (Switzerland) secured the championship title in the elite category. In the U23 races of the Belgian Championships, Emiel Verstrynge and Joran Wyseure showed a strong team result with 1st and 3rd place. Quinten Hermans finished third in the elite and got his first medal in the Belgian Championships. Corné van Kessel from the Netherlands won the silver medal at the Dutch Championships thanks to his experience.
Czech Michael Boros secured CUBE another title in the elite category.
Judith Krahl again showed her strong form and became German U23 champion for the third time in a row. As reigning German U23 champion, Pascal Tömke successfully defended his title. Fabian Eder, who was already on the podium in his first U23 year, ensured a double victory with his second place. Toby Barnes of Team Schamel p/b Kloster Kitchen secured another medal for CUBE with a 3rd place in the U23 category at the title races in Great Britain.
