Team-mate Nicolaj Hougs completed the triumph with a third place – a double reason to celebrate.

Triathlon is not for the faint-hearted – especially not in tropical heat. This made Lucy Charles-Barclay’s performance at the T100 race in Singapore all the more impressive. Despite health setbacks before the start, she showed fighting spirit and secured third place with a courageous run. The clock stopped at 3:53:09 – a strong mark after her injury break.

Things went less smoothly for Frederic Funk and Nico Mann: muscle problems caused them problems and Nico even had to finish the race early. But anyone who knows this pair knows that there’s more to come.
