How Do I Determine My Inseam (Also Known as Inside Leg Measurement)?

Tip: It’s best to have another person help you.

1. First, take off your shoes. Measure in socks or barefoot.
2. Stand upright against a wall, preferably wearing underwear or cycling shorts.
3. Place a spirit level or a book vertically between your thighs and push it up as far as possible. A book is useful because you can easily hold it at a 90° angle to the wall.
4. Measure the distance from the top edge of the spirit level or book to the floor. This is your inseam length.

Why Do I Need My Inseam?

The inseam length is, along with your height, the most important factor in determining the correct frame size for a bike.
